Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) at St Peter's

At St Peter's, we believe that language learning is an important element in our ability to make connections with other people, develop friendships, explore cultures and become active global citizens.

Here at St Peter's, our Key Stage Two pupils have weekly French lessons involving a wide range of activities including songs, stories, games and role-play.

Our teachers follow a French Skills and Knowledge Progression guide to ensure children make progress in the areas of Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing and Grammar.

Some of St Peter's Modern Foreign Language highlights:

* Whole school French Day including whole school French Breakfast with croissants and pastries for all!

* French Sing up Competition where children learn and perform songs in French.

* Remote Learning Zoom French sessions with Miss Sarah and Miss Cheryl.

If you have any questions about the MFL provision at St Peter's, please contact our MFL Coordinator, Ms Hazell.
